David Bennett

It is with great regret and much sadness that we have to announce the death of David Bennett. David died at home peaceful on 21st November 2007 after a short illness, having been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas and liver. David was Chairperson of the Firearms Sub-Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of NAReS as well as being Chairman of the World War 2 Living History Association. He was a true re-enactor, dedicated, hard working, sensible and genuinely a nice bloke who will be much missed within the re-enactment world and far beyond. Our sympathy goes to his wife, Gill, and family and we pay tribute to his life and to the work he did for the hobby.

Dave was known as 'The Old Man' - even in 1979 when he was only 30!
