Subcommittees

NAReS has, at present, four subcommittees who are tasked with a number of different roles. Their main functions are, however:

  • to monitor current and proposed changes to legislation in order to ensure that member groups are aware;

  • to draft guidance notes specific to their work area for member groups.

Each group meets at least twice a year and is co-ordinated by a chairperson. They in turn report back to the executive committee. The four subcommittees are:

  • Health and Safety

  • Edged weapons

  • Equestrian

  • Firearms and black powder

All member groups can nominate a representative to these subcommittees to ensure they have an input into any guidance produced and to learn from others experiences.
