Subcommittees
NAReS has, at present, four subcommittees who are tasked with a number of different roles. Their main functions are, however:
-
to monitor current and proposed changes to legislation in order to ensure that member groups are aware;
-
to draft guidance notes specific to their work area for member groups.
Each group meets at least twice a year and is co-ordinated by a chairperson. They in turn report back to the executive committee. The four subcommittees are:
-
Health and Safety
-
Edged weapons
-
Equestrian
-
Firearms and black powder
All member groups can nominate a representative to these subcommittees to ensure they have an input into any guidance produced and to learn from others experiences.
